REGISTRATION
There are two ways to register with Atting House Limited (hereinafter "AHL").
Subscription: Allows access to all the website but does not allow bidding at auction. Subscribers may purchase from the Art Gallery, if there are any artworks for sale using the shopping cart. This registration is permanent for access by the user to the AHL website at all times.
Auction Registration: Allows access to all the website and bidding in the auction. The access username and password is valid for Subscription access during non-auction periods. Auction registration is required for each auction.
The Invoice name and Billing Address cannot be changed after the start of the Auction. The Registered Shipping Address will be the delivery address for shipping the purchased Lots. This can be changed until the close of Auction.
VERIFICATION FOR AUCTION
Bidders are advised to complete Auction Registration at least 5 days prior to the scheduled Auction Start Date as stated in “About the Auction”.
All bidders must complete Auction Registration and be verified by AHL for the purpose of bidding. An email will be sent to all confirmed and verified bidders. In the event that no reply is received from AHL 48 hours after registration is submitted, please contact AHL at (852) 3441 8088 or by email on info@attinghouse.com
All bidders have to fulfill the verification requirements of AHL before a bidding account is activated. Verification requirements include providing valid information including but not limited to credit or financial information, bankers references, and two references of auctions houses / galleries. Full details of such information are needed and AHL’s obligations to the possession of such information are set forth in the Personal Data Privacy Protection and Security Policy of AHL. The bidder shall be deemed to have accepted AHL’s Terms & Conditions and Conditions of Sale.
The bidder is entitled to register two sets of Auction login names, passwords and nicknames under one registered name. The bidder is allowed to bid even if both login names and nicknames are used for the same Lot. Such login name and nickname should be kept confidential and should not be disclosed to any other third parties. Upon completion of the Auction, the Winning Bidder shall receive the invoice notwithstanding which login name and nickname has been used for the winning bid.
Bidding access shall be granted at AHL’s discretion and AHL shall set limits for a bidder for the amount allowed to be bid on the Auction prior to the granting of bidding access. The bidder will not be allowed to bid further if such bidding limit is exhausted across all Lots in the Auction. If bidders have any questions, they may contact AHL at (852) 3441 8088, or by email on info@attinghouse.com
ONLINE BID
During the auction, to bid on a Lot, the bidder clicks on "Bid Now" and enters “My Bid Space”. In My Bid Space the bidder may either enter the next incremental bid amount for regular bidding, or a maximum value that the bidder is willing to pay by Auto Bid.
Bidding the next valid bid, which is the current valid bid plus the Bid Increment as shown, is regular bidding. The bidder may choose to bid exactly the amount of the next valid bid or enter a higher value. The bidder can view the entire Bid History, if available, of each Lot prior to making a decision. After placing a bid, the bid shall be recorded and viewable in Bid History and in “My Bids”. Please note that bidders may be contacted during the auction for bid verification in order to protect all bidders and maintain the efficacy of the process.
AUTOIBID
Auto Bid is another way of bidding. The bidder enters their maximum value for the Lot; such maximum value shall be kept confidential from other bidders and the Seller. During the auction, Auto Bid shall bid on the bidder’s behalf and shall not place a new bid unless outbid, so as to maintain the highest bidder rank by one increment. In the event that the maximum auto bid value is yet to be reached and no higher bid is recorded from other bidders, the Auto Bidder shall win the auction at the Current Highest Bid. In the event that other bidders outbid the Auto Bidder, bids will no longer be placed on the Auto Bidder’s behalf and they will receive an email notifying that they have been outbid. A new Auto Bid can be placed at any time. Please note that Auto Bidders can lower the Auto Bid value if the maximum Auto Bid value has not yet been reached in the auction.
A Lot in the auction has a current bid at $1,000, the current minimum increment is at $100 and Bidder A has entered an Auto Bid at $10,000. A bid will automatically be placed on behalf of Bidder A at $ 1,100, making it the current highest bid. If Bidder B outbids Bidder A by entering a value of $ 1,200, the AHL Auto bidding system will again place a bid on behalf of bidder A at the next incremented value of $ 1,300 (assuming that the increment stays at $100). The AHL bidding system will continue bidding on behalf of Bidder A (as Bidder A gets outbid) until Bidder A’s Auto Bid of $10,000 is reached or the bidding for that Lot closes.
In the event a bidder has been outbid, but has an Auto Bid value that is below the next valid bid but is higher than the current highest bid, such Auto Bid value will be accepted as the next valid bid. In order to outbid the leading bidder, the next valid bid will be equal to the current highest bid value plus the Bid Increment. The Auto Bid placed shall never exceed the maximum Auto Bid value provided by a bidder.
A Lot in the auction has a current bid of $5,000 and the Bid Increment is $100 and Bidder A has just entered an Auto Bid of $5,250. A bid will be automatically recorded on behalf of Bidder A at $5,100, making it the current highest bid. If Bidder B outbids Bidder A by entering a regular bid at the next valid bid amount of $5,200 the Auto Bidding will instantly place a bid on behalf of Bidder A at $5,250 since that was Bidder A’s Auto Bid limit, even though the next valid bid would have been $5,300. In order for Bidder B to outbid Bidder A, Bidder B will now have to place a regular bid at $ 5,350 (current highest bid $ 5,250 plus the Bid Increment of $100).
Please note where a regular bid is placed on a Lot at the same value as a maximum Auto Bid, the Auto Bid will take precedence. Both Auto Bids and regular bids of the same value will be displayed in the Bid History for that Lot, however, the Auto Bid will appear on top and will be the current highest bidder.
A Lot in the auction has a current bid of $15,000, the Bid Increment is $500, and Bidder A has just entered an Auto Bid of $16,000. A bid will be automatically recorded on behalf of Bidder A at $15,500, making it the current highest bid. If Bidder B outbids Bidder A by entering a regular bid at the next valid bid of $16,000 the auction will record Bidder B’s bid of $16,000 but the current highest bid will be that of Bidder A at $16,000 since the Auto Bid of $16,000 was entered prior to the regular bid from Bidder B. In order for Bidder B to outbid Bidder A, Bidder B will have to place a regular bid at the next valid bid amount of $16,500 or an Auto Bid of higher value.
ONLINE WRITTEN BID FORM
A registered and verified bidder may utilize the Online Written Bid facility. This form may be used by a bidder who does not have access to bidding at the time of auction. Acceptance of such Written Bids by AHL is subject to the fulfillment of the Bid Limits for that bidder as given under Terms & Conditions. The bidder must submit a valid Online Written Bid for one or more Lots at any time prior to the scheduled Auction Start Time or definitely no less than six hours before the Closing Time of the Auction.
The Online Written Bid received from different bidders of the same value will be prioritized based on the time of receiving the form on a “first come first served” basis. A valid written bid will be accorded priority over entering a regular online bid for the opening bid value. AHL shall keep all Written Bid Forms received for record and in the event of a dispute, the records possessed by AHL shall prevail over all other copies presented by bidders. AHL shall have the sole discretion and shall not be responsible for any delay or failure to record such bids.

OPENING BID
Bidding for all Lots begins at the opening bid value. The opening bid is the value set by AHL for every particular Lot in the Auction. The first bid for a Lot in the auction will be accepted as normal for regular bidding.
BID INCREMENTS
Any valid bid must be greater than the current highest bid by a pre-determined Bid Increment. Bid increments are based on a predetermined scale. This Bid Increment will be indicated for each Lot. The increment for a particular Lot will increase each time the current bid crosses a pre-determined price threshold. The next valid bid amount is the current highest bid plus the Bid Increment. Bidders may bid the next valid bid amount or a higher amount of their choice.
Bidder A is the current highest bidder with a bid price at $9,800. If the Bid Increment for bids below $10,000 is $500, Bidder B can outbid Bidder A (regular online bid) by entering a value of $10,300 (a $500 increment over the current highest bid at $9,800). However, now that the current bid is higher than the $10,000 price threshold, assume that the Bid Increment increases from $500 to $1,000. The next valid bid will now be $11,300 ($1,000 increment over Bidder B’s current highest bid of $10,300). In order for Bidder A to outbid Bidder B, Bidder A will now have to bid $11,300.

BID NOTIFICATIONS
The bidder shall receive emails from AHL for any change in bidding status, including the Current Highest Bidder, being outbid and being the Winning Bidder in the auction. All these emails will be generated automatically and sent depending on bidder’s email preferences and AHL shall not ask for any sensitive and private information and bidders shall not reply to such emails.
BID HISTORY
The Bid History provided on the website for each Lot will indicate the values that have been recorded since the start of the auction up to the current highest bid, including any Auto Bids and Written Bids received. The Bidder may also view ”My Bid History” for bidding information on all the Lots that a Bidder has bid for during the auction. To preserve the Bidder’s privacy, Bid History will show only the nickname of each user, instead of showing the Login name of each account.
BID RETRACTION
Retraction of bid is not allowed once the bid, either in form of a regular online bid or an Auto Bid or Written Bid is recorded. However, the bidder may choose to lower the maximum value on an Auto Bid during the auction if the maximum value placed for Auto Bid is yet to be reached. AHL reserves the right to cancel any bids on any Lot at its discretion if it considers it necessary to do so in order to protect the efficacy of the bidding process.
THREE-MINUTES AUTOMATIC AUCTION EXTENSION
Bidding on the Auction is only available within the scheduled auction times. The scheduled auction closing time is shown against each Lot. Pre-determined batches of lots will end according to the batch-closing schedule, unless a bid is recorded within a span of 3 minutes prior to the lot's assigned closing time. In this case, the lot closing time will be extended back to 3 minutes from the time of the last bid. If this time extension takes place, bidding on any lot will only end if there is no further bid recorded for a span of 3 minutes.
The auction for Lot 1 is scheduled to close at 18:30. Bidder A is the highest bidder at 18:27. If no other bidders place a bid on the Lot, the auction shall close at the scheduled time, 18:30 with Bidder A holding the Winning Bid. But, if Bidder B bids on the Lot at 18:29, the closing time of the auction shall be extended for three minutes and the new closing time shall be 18:32, i.e. counting from 18:29 plus three minutes. This is repeated as long as there are further bids for that Lot.

VIEW ADDITIONAL CHARGES
The additional charges for each Lot can be viewed during the auction by clicking on View Additional Charge on the website. This will be constantly updated real-time for each Current Highest Bid Value and will include the Buyer’s Premium and Shipping and Handling charges estimated, if the bidder were to win that Lot. The Shipping and Handling charges quoted are based on an estimate by the courier with standard and reasonable packaging. The Additional Charge does not include the cost of framing the Lot.
CLOSING AND WINNING BIDS
The closing bid for a Lot is the highest bid at the time that particular Lot’s bidding has ended. No further bids can be made after the close of bidding for that particular Lot. When there are no bids recorded within the last three minutes of a scheduled Lot closing time, the current highest bid is the Winning Bid. The closing bid is considered a Winning Bid, only if the bid exceeds or equals the Reserve Price. The Winning Bids for all Lots sold will appear on the website after the bidding is closed for all Batches.
